Away Again for Two Weeks

September 30, 2013

Hello my dear FAA friends;

Recently, I have not been very active on FAA due to work-related reasons and project deadlines - I am sure all of you know what I am talking about. I have been working on a couple of sensitive government research projects that have kept me busy night and day and day and night. All I can say is it has been very interesting but demanding work to say the least, involving lots of science (chemistry, physics, microbiology, math) and lots of applications engineering and troubleshooting work. I have to admit that the left side of my brains is pretty hurting at the moment and is in dire need of rest.

Having said that, I will be traveling to Paris, France early next week for a period of 2 weeks to engage (mainly) my right side of the brain. Deep city exploration, combined with lots and lots of photography and the arts is what I’m seeking. This is my annual trip that I take with a buddy of mine every year (last year was more local with the waterfalls of Ontario; the year before was Vegas and the Grand Canyon; the year before was Beijing; etc.). This year there will have to be a few hours of science and research talk with some business colleagues and university professors (unfortunately), but mainly fun, fun, fun. With 2 cameras in hand (literally), an arsenal of about 6 or 7 lenses, and a bunch of other miscellaneous photography gizmos and gadgets, restful madness (with lots and lots of walking) will predominate. My goal is to come back with at least one awesome image, five excellent images, and ten good ones worthy of sharing with all of you.

Not to mention that I still have tons of images to process and post from my last few trips to Portland and the West Coast of Oregon, my trip to Rochester; my trip to Turkey, Italy, south of France, Greece, Aruba, San Juan, and many other exciting locations around the planet and within northern Ontario country - all of these just within the last 12 months or so!!! Lots of images to come.

My apologies to all for not keeping up with all of your awesome work, but I hope to be back in the loop and catch up with all of you after my Paris trip.

Sincere regards to all of you.

Hany
