Description
The Historic Center of Cascais represents the old center of a historic coastal city that was once a small fishing village. While the foundation of Cascais dates to the 12th century, it did not become a desirable resort location until the 19th or 20th centuries, when royalty began to frequent the village. Now it is a popular site for beach-goers and tourists who are interested in Portuguese history. Just a train ride away from Lisbon, this site features tiny, shop-lined side streets; cobblestone roads; several parks; and local bars and restaurants. This is an image of one of the main buildings in the town square, which still manages to retain its character with lots of bars, shops and restaurants.
All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
