Description
Santa Lucía is a municipality and a small colonial town in the Honduran Department of Francisco Morazán. It is situated in the mountains near Tegucigalpa (the capital of Honduras) at an elevation of about 5000 feet above sea level. And as you drive through the mountains from Tegucigalpa to Santa Lucia you notice that the landscape is very beautiful, where you can see thousands and thousands of pine trees all around the road and the mountain. The town maintains its colonial spirit being very quiet and peaceful. It has been described as an oasis for people looking to relax from the busy and stressful life in Tegucigalpa.
The following series of images are of various doors photographed while walking the many cobbled stone roads in town.
All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
